So, I am in the home stretch. I have turned in all of my assignments, but now I have to put them together and make them one big paper. Whew. Two more weeks. Two more weeks and then I am done. I am sorry, but this was just too hard.
I would love to go for a DSW (Doctor of Social Work), but it is more research. I am not the analyzing type. I lack that skill. Family made sure I didn't question anything. It was frowned upon. You did not talk under your breath either. If you brought up an argument it was quickly snuffed out.
If I have the ability to know that I would get some help, because of my disabilty, I just might reconsider. But spending an entire year on a research topic is not for me. If I have to go it alone.
I also cannot afford it. It is around $13,500 a semester for the first six and then around $4,500 for the last three semesters where all you do is focus on your research.
I have been researching emotional intelligence and communication clarity. I have found another side to it. It is called the dark side and it includes Machiavellanism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy that are referred to as the Triad. There are those who study participants who have an over abundance of emotional intelligence. They say that those who have a lot of EQ, the more emotional manipulative they are because they lack empathy and remorse. They also say that there is an opposite side to where a person is so empathic with others that they become gullible and over-emotional. Now, research is suggesting an optimal level of EQ. Not too high and not too low. I say, this Dark Triad is exactly why I teach emotional intelligence to my clients. It gives them a defense against it. I will continue teaching it. I believe in it.
